Let's Party Retreat

I have to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the ladies that attend The Let's Party Retreat at Metung Waters over last weekend.
The week started on Friday afternoon and we all made our party hat name tag.


The ladies had a wonderful time making and sharing there crafty talents.

Check out these hats yes I  made mine too.
Then all the ladies voted on which one they loved and Kerryn Sands In photo above with myself, was the big winner on the day. But as you can see all the ladies have done a great party hat.

For morning and afternoon tea some of the ladies made slices
and everyone was asking Kellie Johnston to share her Recipe

Nan Mc Phees Marsh Mellow Biscuit Slice.

1 Cup SR,Flour
1 cup Coconut
1/2 cup sugar
3 Vita Britz (Crushed)
Put into a Basin and pour on 4oz melted butter and mix.
Put into 7"x11" tin and bake 10-12 minutes in moderate oven. 180 C.

Marshmellow 1 Cup Sugar, 1 Heaped desertspoon of gelatine, 3/4 cup water.
Place in saucepan and stir till boiling, then boil 3 mintes ** With out stirring**
Cool and beat till stiff, pour over cooked mixture whn cool.

Chocolate
3oz of copha melt,and let cool, but not set, add 3/4 cup drinking chocolate. Pour over marshmellow.

Mum also used to put a thin layer of jam between the slice base and marshmellow.

Kelly als made some Choc Chip Biscuits

1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2  cup white sugar, 3/4 pkt choc chips (Allways use dark choc Nestle) 1-3/4 cup SR Flour, 125gm butter, 1 egg.

Cream butter and sugar add egg add flour ( you may a little less or more depends on mix) add choc chips. Roll into balls and squish on tray bake for about 10 mins.

slightly uncoked is yum..... must try..... :)
