Scone Recipe and having fun with my Grand kids

Looking after my Grand Kids.

So much to do when you have kids around and how you forget all the things you have to do.
School, Kinder, little school, cheers, Halloween, Birthdays, Bins to go out, feed pets, after school spots, swimming, writers cafĂ©, make scone, washing every day( LOL) Stampin' Up! Classes and every thing you do every day but most of all having fun.... with Brody, Bella and Emily...So Many kids on Halloween Night and it was so hot still 28 at 6pm as you will see in the photos they all enjoyed themselves.
Making Scone jam and cream just trying the oven as I have to make some scone to send to school with Bella on Friday so as you can see all good going to share the scone recipe...

Ingredients:
Serves 4- 12 scones
2 & 1/2 cups of self-raising flour
2/3 cup (170ml) cold lemonade
2/3 cup (170ml) thickened cream
pinch of salt

Directions:
1 preparation 8 min> cook: 12 min> Ready in 20min

1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees C (205 in a fan forced oven). Line a baking tray with baking paper or sprinkle a bit of flour on the tray to stop sticking.
2. Sift flour into a bowl. Combine lemonade, salt, cream in a bowl. Add the lemonade and cream mixture to the sifted flour and gently fold ingredients together just combined (don't over mix the dough as this will make tough scones). The dough should be fairly soft and a bit sticky.
3. Place dough on a lightly floured bench and spread dough to approximately 3.5cm thick. You can either use a shaped cutter or knife to cut the dough, make sure that the knife or cutter is sharp and cuts cleanly so it won't affect the rise of the scone.
4. place scone close together on tray, so they are just touching. Back for about 12or maybe 15minutes or until pale golden and cooked through.
5. if you like your scones to have a soft crust just cover them with a tea towel for a few minutes. These are at their absolute best when served hot. enjoy
