The Rose
Hi all we had our last training day for 09 and I would like to share with you one of the many things we made on the day. Flower are something we love to give any time of the year but a hand made one is something you can keep for ever. I have always enjoyed making flowers and would love to share this with you all thanks for stopping by today have fun.
THE ROSE
Step 1 You will need to punch out 18 Large Ovals in Real red card stock (Or what ever color Rose you would like)
Step 2 Soften the first oval between your fingers a little - this will make it easier to roll
Step 3 Place a piece of stick strip then roll the oval around on itself.
Step 4 Place a piece of sticky strip just below center on each of the ovals. As in Photo below.
keep placing all the real red ovals and shaping as you go as in the photo above and below
Step 9 Run the wide old olive oval through the Crimper then fold in half length ways.

Step 10 Attach leaves to the rose with sticky strip one at a time
as in the photo above then add the next one
and so on until you have all four leaves on
it should look like this from the top as in the photo above and below
Step 10 Attach stick strip to the top of the stick and push into the bottom of the rose
Step11 To make the stem wrap sticky strip first around the bottom of the rose and down the stick as in photo above and below
Step 12 Next warp the ribbon around the bottom of the rose first then keep it going down the stick.

Step 13 Cut four 21cm of ribbon to make loops using stick strip to hold into place as in the photo below
Place loops around the rose I did four you can do as many as you wont

Step 15 Using a square piece of DSP and cut to 7.5 x 7.5 cm make a cone and leave it open just the right amount at the top for the amount of the rose you want to see as in photo below

If you wont the stem to hang out at the bottom use a 6 x 6' square and roll into a cone
